So here's how Vegas Nation came about.

Shannon and I were on our third trip of the year to Las Vegas and couldn't help but notice tired and overwhelmed couples arguing over what to do and the saddest of all, pushing strollers down the strip at 1am. We used to be those people! Our first trip to Vegas I thought would be our last, but then we started to do what we did when we backpacked across Australia, Malaysia and Japan... we asked the locals. There's no one better than the people who live there.

I've bled Silver & Black for about 37 year now; ever since way back in high school when I snuck into a Toronto radio station to meet Lyle Alzado. Sure I got kicked out a few times, but eventually I met Mr Alzado who invited me to the taping of his short-lived TV show. That was it, Raider for Life.

While I hate to see the Raiders leave Oakland, I can't help but be excited about the move to Las Vegas and into the crown jewel of NFL. It was this move (and the atmosphere during game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals!) that got us thinking about combining my love for the Raiders and our past adventures in travel. Over the past few years we've done extensive research and built a contact list in the hundreds. We didn't just read about Vegas, we experienced it. From the Strip, Fremont, Old Vegas, New Vegas, sport, shows, concerts, pub crawls and clubs... we've done it all AND if we haven't done it we have a contact who has!

Oh, I almost forgot the most important part, the seats. To make this idea work we needed prime seats in the new Black Hole. Done.
